This Privacy Policy explains how Aureon Intelligence Labs Pvt. Ltd. (“Aureon”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Confide (the “App”). By using Confide, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

Confide is operated by Aureon Intelligence Labs Pvt. Ltd. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@confide.today.

2. Information we collect

Account & profile information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and a Google account identifier. Authentication is managed through our backend provider.
Content you create. The messages and conversations you exchange with the Confide AI companion, along with Whisper entries, CanDo tasks, moods, and other content you choose to submit.
Location. If you grant permission, we collect your device’s approximate or precise location to add context and personalization to your experience. You can decline or revoke this at any time in your device settings.
Purchase information. When you buy credits, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We receive purchase confirmation and a transaction identifier; we do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Device & technical data. Device type, operating-system version, app version, language, and a push-notification token used to deliver notifications.
Usage & diagnostics. App interactions and analytics events that help us understand usage and improve the App.

3. How we use your information

To provide and operate the AI companion and the App’s features;
To personalize responses and content, including time- and location-based context;
To process purchases and maintain your credit balance;
To send notifications you have enabled;
To maintain safety, prevent abuse, and debug issues;
To comply with legal obligations.

4. AI processing of your conversations

Confide is an AI companion. The conversations and content you submit are processed by artificial-intelligence models — including Google’s Gemini models — to generate responses. Please avoid sharing information you would not want processed by an AI service.

Confide is not a crisis or professional service. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis or danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us operate Confide, and where required by law:

Supabase — database, authentication, and backend hosting;
Google — Google Sign-In, Gemini AI processing, Google Play Billing, and analytics;
OneSignal — delivery of push notifications;
Legal & safety — to comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.

6. Data retention

We retain your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the App. We delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed, or upon a valid deletion request, subject to any legal obligations to retain it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, raise a grievance, or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email support@confide.today.

9. Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. See our Account & Data Deletion page for details, or email support@confide.today from your registered email address. We process verified requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. Children

Confide is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you are under 18, you may use Confide only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

11. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect your information consistent with this Policy.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Confide after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
